Rantizo is looking for a detail-oriented and organized Finance and Operations Assistant to support our Revenue Operations manager with essential bookkeeping, data entry, and data validation tasks. You will play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting operational excellence. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with numbers, have strong attention to detail, clear and professional written communications, and be able to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast paced startup environment. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Bookkeeping Support: Assist with daily bookkeeping activities, including data entry of financial transactions, accounts payable and receivable processing, preparing and sending invoices to customers, follow up on AR, monitoring cash accounts and credit cards; reconciling statements and maintaining accurate ledgers. 

  • Data Entry: Enter and update financial, operational, and customer data into various systems, like a Customer Relationship Management tool (Hubspot) or a Financial Management tool (Quickbooks) ensuring accuracy.  

  • List Validation: Regularly validate data lists and records to ensure information accuracy, including reviewing customer, vendor, and transaction data for consistency and completeness. Preparing source data for data entry by researching on the internet, validating data, compiling and sorting information. 

  • Account Reconciliation: Assist in monthly bank reconciliations and account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting. 

  • Financial Reporting: Generate basic reports on financial data and operational performance for review by senior management.  

  • Documentation Management: Organize and maintain digital and physical financial records, utilizing Sharepoint for secure online storage. Retrieve data from Hubspot or online databases as requested. Maintain Hubspot by entering new and updated information as needed. 

  • Collaborative Support: Work closely with the finance, operations, and customer success teams to support cross-functional data needs and resolve any data discrepancies. 

  • Ad-Hoc Projects: Provide support on special projects as needed, which may involve data analysis, preparing presentations, or assisting with process improvements. 

Qualifications 

  • Experience: 2 years+ of experience in bookkeeping, finance, or data entry; experience in agriculture or technology is a plus. 

  • Education: Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field preferred. 

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks); experience with data entry tools or CRM systems is a plus. 

  • Detail-Oriented: Outstanding attention to detail, with the ability to spot errors and maintain high accuracy levels. 

  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and customers. 

  • Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
